Paws With A Pint At Britain’s Best Dog Friendly Pubs

Some other hotels have tried to reach out and please different ranges of customers, by making the hotel bar area feel more like a pub. They have attempted to achieve this by extending the range of drinks, putting a couple of draught beer taps on the bar, and installing a pool table. This is much better and definitely a positive step forward, but bar area never has the same feel as a pub, there is always that hotel influence. So if some hotels are attempting to create a pub influence in their bar areas, what about staying in genuine pubs that have hotel standard rooms.

Nearly gone, are the days of the old fashioned pub bedrooms with a dirty sink in the corner and the bathroom halfway down the corridor…instead 강남달토 many pubs accommodation is comparable or sometimes dramatically better than the nearest hotel, and cheaper too. Many pub bedrooms combine the elegance of a bygone age, with modern air conditioning and flat screen TV’s and a luxurious en-suite. The benefit to the tired traveller or business person, is the ability to relax in a genuine pub atmosphere, and then be in a comfortable bed, in sumptuous surroundings, within a couple of minutes of downing their drink!

Then there’s the breakfast in the morning. Many hotel chains don’t offer a ‘proper’ morning breakfast, but opt for a version of a continental breakfast which normally comprises of a croissant and jam. This is where good pub accommodation comes into its own! I have never had a poor breakfast in pub accommodation, but have had plenty in hotels.

Dried up eggs, mushy baked beans and a cheap sausage is not my idea of the best start to the day. Contrast that with the fact that many pubs pride themselves on their breakfast offer, and will ensure that the very best is on offer. What is better that getting out of bed on a Sunday morning, after a few refreshments the night before, and enjoying a leisurely, beautifully cooked breakfast whilst thumbing through the Sunday papers. It may not appeal to everyone, but when it comes to bed and breakfast, give me pub accommodation every time
